Download - Data Protection Seal of Approval
Data security and data privacy are the top priority for TeamDrive.
Therefore, the protection of your personal information during our entire business process is a special concern for us.
It was our goal, using the most modern encryption technologies, to develop software with a well designed network architecture that would guarantee the confidentiality of all data, and that would enable only authorized persons to access the data.
The results of our efforts are applied in the PrimeSharing system, and particularly in our TeamDrive software. To document this achievement, we asked an accredited specialist to audit the PrimeSharing solution. The expert opinions prepared this way were then appraised by the
Independent
Center
for Privacy Protection Schleswig-Holstein Germany (ULD). For the consistent and successful realization of all aspects of data protection and data privacy, PrimeSharing TeamDrive software (Version 1.3) was awarded the Data Protection Seal of Approval in March 2007 for 2 years.
(Verification number: 2-3/2005 valid until March 14th, 2009 )

What are the criteria for awarding of Seals of Approval?
This typically depends on the compatibility of the product with regulations for data protection and data security. Particular emphasis is placed on the considerations of data avoidance and data economy, data security and revision capability, as well as, on the guarantee of the rights of those affected. The ULD provides a catalog of requirements for IT products, which contains both legal and technical aspects. The catalog is updated on a regular basis.
Who prepares the expert opinions?
The expert opinions are prepared by specialists and specialist test centers accredited with the Independent Center for Privacy Protection. The accreditation at ULD requires that the requisite technical qualifications, reliability, and impartiality have been demonstrated. The ULD keeps a list, which can be viewed by the public, of the accredited specialists and specialist test centers. Application documents and the register can be found on our homepage.
How long does the Seal of Approval process take?
The duration of the process is the combined duration of the product evaluation by the specialists and the duration of the conclusive examination by the ULD. Factors affecting the duration of the evaluation are, above all, the complexity of the product, but also the quality of the documentation and the user manual. In practice, this process takes a few months. If the evaluation detects deficiencies, their remediation can extend the duration of the evaluation. The same is true for the duration of the conclusive examination test which is determined by the quality and completeness of the expert opinion. Here too, in practice the process takes on average a few months, especially when multiple inquiries are necessary from the experts or the producers, and clarifications of the expert opinion by the experts.
